Design of new residence in the historic district of Chattanooga, TN. Owners were looking for an Italian Renaissance-style facade with a contemporary interior design. The property is located on extremely sloped terrain and lot dimensions were 40’x160′ so a “shotgun” approach was used for the interior layout of first-floor open living space, the full basement below, and 4 bedrooms on the second floor. The stairwell was used as a major accent piece when entering the residence.
